The Rypel Video Home System project was created in 1977 by John C. Rypel, and was opened to public in June 13, 1978 in Vluuphia County, Kentucky. It was also expanded to Ho Chi Minh City and Lam Dong Province in Vietnam by a project supervisor Quyên Cúc Trần in 1983.
